This is who we are
Michael Grosse-Brömer was born in Oberhausen on October 12, 1960. After graduating from high school in 1980, he served for two years with Pioneer Battalion 6 in Plön/Holstein before beginning his law studies at the University of Hamburg in 1983.
After successfully passing two state examinations in law, Michael Grosse-Brömer initially worked as an independent lawyer. In 2001, he was appointed as a notary in Lower Saxony, which was resigned in view of his political career.
From 2002 to 2025, Michael Grosse-Brömer was a member of the German Bundestag. He initially took on the role of legal policy spokesman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag before becoming its legal advisor. From May 2012 to December 2021, MGB held the office of First Parliamentary Secretary.

MGB then took over the chairmanship of the Economic Committee of the German Bundestag. He was also a member of the German-British, German-Austrian and German-Japanese Parliamentary Groups.
Michael Grosse-Brömer is married and the father of a daughter and a son. Whenever he gets the chance, he likes to go to the Volksparkstadion to watch Hamburger SV or go hunting.
MGB is an honorary member of the Board of Trustees of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Conservation Park Foundation (Bispingen-Niederhaverbeck).
